Cleveland Futbol Club Boys U16 Travel Soccer Team placed 1st in the 25th Annual Ocoee Cup this weekend! They opened play with a 1-0 win over Blount United Soccer Club on Saturday morning. In their second game Cleveland FC Boys won 9-1 game over Lighting FC Club from west GA. This win secured them into the final against the other group winner. Deep into the first half of its first U16 Boys championship game, CFC U16 team appeared to have left itself with the difficult task of battling back from a 2 goal deficit. The Cleveland team came back from 2 goals down in emphatic fashion to win the championship.

Coach Matt Davies commented, “it’s not how we wanted to start the game, going 2 goals down. We had to overcome some adversity in the game. However, to come back and score three unanswered goals in the second half shows what kind of resolve we have on this team. I am extremely proud of this team, and thankful I get to coach these great young men”.
