“To all friends, parents, coaches, and supporters of Greater Cleveland Soccer:
On behalf of the GRCSA board, I would like to express our gratitude to you all for your patience with us as we’ve kicked off a new year of soccer!
With the first week of Recreational soccer behind us, it has not all been smooth sailing. We have experienced record numbers of kids registered- this is incredible! We are also moving our online platform from Blue Sombrero to TeamSnap, there have been challenges with that. For this transition, we are working on providing ample training opportunities to all who need it. Of course, needless to say, we are still moving through the COVID-19 pandemic and are trying to keep up with the latest updates from the governing bodies, including Tennessee Soccer, our local health department, and the CDC. Adjusting to the recent rain events has proven to be quite a challenge for all our teams, the games, tournaments, and practices.
Nevertheless, our parent volunteers have been working tirelessly to get all rosters completed, teams set, coaches selected, and the season rolling.
By the time you receive this note, all email correspondences should have been sent out to all coaches and parents via TeamSnap.
I do want to personally thank all the volunteer coaches this year! Your work and time invested into our athletes’ young lives means more than you may think!
If we have not met, my name is Dima Lutsenko, I am new to the president role at GRCSA, though not new to the club. As a young kid, I played for Greater Cleveland during my elementary school years. I am excited about the future of our club, the growth we are already experiencing, and the many great things we have planned for our complex and the Cleveland soccer community. We don’t have everything figured out, but I promise you we will do our best. If you see me at the complex, don’t be a stranger, come up, I’d love to meet you and hear about your story!”
